Our mission is to transform a modest van into a funky, groovy bus that honors Folly's distinctive charm and tight-knit community. All while helping to address the issues of limited parking, increased traffic congestion, and driving under the influence.โ
This issue of drunk driving was brought to the forefront for Folly Beach in April 2023, when a tragic drunk driving accident took the life of new bride, Samantha “Sam” Miller, just moments after saying “I do.” This heartbreaking event spurred Folly Beach resident, Kory Isenberg, to take action, leading to the inception of Folly Bus.
However, Folly Bus is designed to be much more than just a transportation service; it is envisioned to be a beloved fixture of the island. The bus's aesthetic, crafted by a local artist, reflects the vibrant and eclectic nature of Folly Beach. Ensuring that the bus resonates with the community and enhances its charm, while promoting safety and responsibility.
